Shelbyville Church Plant

The Victorious Life Baptist Church has been meeting in Shelbyville, Indiana since its first services on October 26, 2014. Brother Richard Hivner is sent out by the Victory Independent Baptist Church in Greenfield, and he and his family are working hard to establish a Christ-honoring, Bible believing Baptist church in the area. God is blessing the work there, and we want to publicly thank the Lord for His marvellous grace. If you live in Shelbyville please visit them. More information can be found on their website.

Be sure to check out our Articles page. New ones are added regularly. Feel free to email with your comments or questions.

Taking Advice from Solomon for the New Year

As Solomon closes the book of Ecclesiastes, his final words summarize the book and the duty of man. Let us take his final words as advice on how to live during 2018. 1.) Fear God 2.) Obey God (keep His commandments). 3.) Hate sin (see v. 14) 4.) Love One Another (one of His commandments). The words are simple, but we will need God's grace to live these out. May God help us to do it this year!

Meditation Verses

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Hebrews 12:1-3
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: Isaiah 44:3
